Harnessing Inflammation and Immunity to Augment Repair and Treat Disease

I am interested in inflammation at all scales of life: from fundamental molecular and cellular mechanisms to systemic responses to sterile and infected injury. Understanding how the immune system responds to injury, and how this response is influenced by complex comorbidities, can help to identify the fundamental basis of tissue repair and direct us towards novel treatment avenues to improve healing and limit long-term complications.
