Associate Professor, Biodesign Center for Bioelectronics and Biosensors
Shaopeng Wang holds a BS in biology and an MS in biophysics from Tsinghua University (Beijing, China). He received a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the University of Miami (Florida) and did a two-year post-doctoral study in the Department of Physics at Florida International University. Before join ASU, Wang was a senior research scientist at ICx Nomadics, Inc., where he developed biosensors and bioinstrumentations for biomedical applications. He is currently working on Plasmonic-based Electrochemical Impedance Microscopy (P-EIM) and other innovative optical/electrochemical sensing methods for the detectioon of chemicals and biological molecules and real time label-free measurement of molecular interactions and cellular dynamics.
