Assistant Research Professor, ASU-Banner Neurodegenerative Disease Research Center
Qi Wang is currently an assistant research professor at the ASU-Banner Neurodegenerative Disease Research Center (NDRC) at the Biodesign Institute. Dr. Wang obtained her Ph.D. from Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota, in Biomedical Engineering and did her postdoctoral training at the School of Medicine, Washington University in St. Louis. She has diverse research background and over ten years of experiences in genomics, bioinformatics and cheminformatics in both academia and biotech industry, which include next generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis, structure- and ligand-based methods for the analysis and optimization of protein-ligand interactions, computational pipeline development on the state-of-the-art computational platforms. The current research interests are the application of these approaches on multilayer omics data for understanding underlying mechanism, facilitating early diagnosis and pursuing effective treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, especially Alzheimer's disease.
