Bio

Kiley received her doctorate in Nutritional Sciences from Arizona State University in 2019, her Mater of Public Health degree from Boston University in 2011, and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention at Arizona State University. Her doctoral work focused on variations in metabolism during pregnancy and the impact of macronutrient distribution and sleep hygiene on resting energy expenditure. This community-based intervention in a high-risk population led her to seek additional training under Dr. Gabriel Shaibi. As a postdoctoral fellow she will focus on sex differences in body composition among adolescents in response to a lifestyle intervention. Her goal is to use this information to better develop and implement community-based interventions for high-risk populations. This additional training will expose her to a different population in order to obtain the expertise across the lifespan to become a proficient scientist in the field of maternal child health. Kiley loves to travel, explore the outdoors, and drink craft beers. She is an avid hiker and runner and loves to snow ski whenever she can!
