Research Interests

I study the two-component system (TCS) prrAB in Mycobacterium tuberculosis utilizing a variety of biochemical and bioinformatic techniques. This TCS is essential in M. tuberculosis and is attractive as a potential target for novel antimicrobial compounds and elucidation of its downstream effector genes may provide deeper insight into the early stages of the macrophage infectious process.

I am a native Phoenician graduated from ASU with my B.S. in Biochemistry in 2008.
