My name is Gihan Ketawala and I am from Sri Lanka, a country just southeast of India. I received a B.S. in computational chemistry from University of Colombo, Sri Lanka. My research interests revolve around understanding of the water-splitting complex Photosystem II with an ultimate goal of accomplishing hydrogen as a clean and renewable energy source
Why did you chose ASU and Fromme lab?
I chose ASU because it is a world class research institute and it proves interdisciplinary opportunities. My first rotation choice was in Petra's lab and I immediately liked the interdisciplinary skills of computational methods to molecular biology required to succeed.
