Drew is researching the educational effect of integrated help systems within software applications. Most modern applications include some form of end user assistance intended to aid learning and task completion. There are many ways to offer such assistance and empirical data should show us which method best facilitates learning.
Drew Brown, PhD is the Associate Director of the Research Technology Office at Arizona State University. He is responsible for strategic research solutions wherever they may lie. He is also responsible for the Research Technology Support Helpdesk, the Research Training department, and the Research Editing department in the Office of Knowledge Enterprise Development. Drew has lead campus-wide initiatives covering faculty instruction, systems consolidation, instructional design, support staff management, and collaboration portal development.
