Assistant Research Professor, Biodesign Center for Bioenergetics
Omar Khdour is an assistant research professor at the Biodesign Center for BioEnergetics. Dr. Khdour obtained his B.S. in Chemical Biology from Mutah University (1995) and a B.S. in Microbiology/Molecular Biology from Arizona State University (2000). Following his Ph.D. studies with Prof. Edward Skibo at Arizona State University in the area of synthetic organic chemistry, he decided to pursue more biological studies that build on his expertise in natural products-based research. Accordingly, he joined the Biodesign Center for BioEnergetics at the Biodesign Institute as it was being formed by Dr. Sidney Hecht and has led efforts in the Center to establish research focus on the vital role of energy metabolism in human health, wellness and disease.
