Virtual Reality is now a reality for visualizing and analyzing real research images from microscopes of all types. From confocal to multiphoton to light sheet to EM to X-ray (even CTs) and every mo­dality in between, images can be imported into VR space with no conversion necessary. Users can then gain new insights into their data by examining structural relationships in an immersive environ­ment.

Precise and instant 3-D positioning allows for more rapid, accurate and efficient annotation, segmentation and analysis of datasets compared to traditional desktop software. Wussow will highlight what is currently possible with this groundbreaking technology and provide a hands-on session after the seminar to allow those interested to experience and test the technology.
