Mingyuan Gao, Ph.D., Professor, Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Science

Due to the special effects in nanosize regime, inorganic nanoparticles exhibit unique physical properties that are potentially useful for tumor theranostics. In this lecture, Gao will present studies about tiny tumor imaging, tumor micrometastasis imaging, and visualization of the abnormal factors of tumor microenvironment by using versatile nanoprobes, apart from the synthesis and surface functionalization of inorganic nanoparticles.

This seminar is presented by the Biodesign Virginia G. Piper Center for Personalized Diagnostics. Light refreshments will be provided starting at 9 a.m.
