Dr. Boris Decourt completed his BS in physiology at the University of Tours (France), and his PhD in neuroscience and pharmacology at the University of Bordeaux (France). He then joined Purdue University for his post-doctoral training, and later move to the Banner Sun Health Research Institute (Sun City, AZ) to work on Alzheimer’s disease. His current research work focuses on testing an anti-cancer drug in transgenic mice and cellular models for the prevention of Alzheimer’s. He is also collaborating with local physicians to conduct clinical trials with this drug soon. Dr. Decourt published 16 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters. As a young investigator, he received financial support from the Alzheimer’s Association and is currently the recipient of an NIH Career Development Award (K01).
