Banu Ozkan is a faculty associate at the Biodesign Center for Mechanisms of Evolution and an associate professor at ASU's Department of Physics. Her background is in a broad range of methods, including lattice models, elastic network methods, dynamics, and all-atom physics-based computer simulations. Ozkan's research is focused on theoretical models and computer simulations in biological physics.
Ozkan earned a doctoral degree in chemical engineering from Bogazici University. She has authored 44 publications and directs the Undergraduate Biophysics Program. During her time at ASU, she has been awarded the Scialog Fellow and the Faculty Achievement Young Investigator Award.
