Dr. Anis was born in Giza, Egypt. He received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in mechanical engineering from Cairo University, Giza, Egypt in 2001 and 2004, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, in 2007. He is currently a postdoctoral research associate at the Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University. His current research interests include automation, robotics, control, and microelectromechanical systems.
