Bio
As the manager of the Research Computing Group, Jason is
spearheading a new department aimed at enabling scientific research
through technology. This role supports the broad and exciting
endeavors at the Biodesign Institute under the leadership of Dr.
DuBois, Dr. Cheatham, and Michael McLeod.
Previously Jason served in the Biodesign Institute's "Center for
Evolutionary Medicine and Informatics" performing bioinformatics
system administration for systems in comparative genomics,
computational developmental biology, database development, leading
various projects, and working with world renowned scientists. Prior
roles included, directing all technology functions of a television
station and media department with award winning journalists, and
managing a service desk for OKED (formerly known as the OVPR-EA) with
technology oversight of radiation safety, animal care, ORSPA, and
property control.
Jason's most recent activity have been acquiring a $195k SAN
donation in collaboration with MD/PhD's and is currently investigating
cloud computing resources. Prior history includes active
directory/LDAP integrations, architecting data center solutions, and
state wide television broadcast implementations. Specialties include
infrastructure, security, and process optimization with business
alignment.
