The Biodesign Institute, Personalized Diagnostics
Jason Steel is the Production Manager for the Center for Personalized Diagnostics. He was trained as a molecular biologist at Johns Hopkins University as a member of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. His research experience includes identification and characterization of novel photoreceptor specific genes and cloning and characterization of peroxisomal membrane proteins. Jason has over 9 years of sales and team leadership experience with companies such as Silicon Genetics and Agencourt Bioscience. Jason is responsible for managing the Center for Personalized Diagnostics’ high-throughput clone validation pipeline as well as generating human full-length protein expression clones for our repository.
Each month, innovative research from the Biodesign Institute appears in the world’s premier scientific journals. Many such studies have graced the covers of these journals, showcasing Biodesign research ranging from water remediation to nanometer-scale structures built from DNA.
