Duties and Responsibilities
Conducts research supporting our high-throughput clone validation pipeline as well as assist in generation of human full-length protein expression clones for our repository. These clones are employed in a broad variety of human disease discovery applications and are distributed world-wide for post-genomic, functional proteomics studies. The work involves reliable execution of general cloning techniques, working with robotics for high throughput cloning, and mining and maintaining the center's (FLEX) and (ACE) databases. Will take initiative, work independently and communicate observations for optimizing procedures and increasing the overall quality of production.
DAYS AND SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment; OR, Four years research experience appropriate to the area of assignment; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
Desired Qualifications
Experience with general molecular biology techniques including DNA isolation/purification and cloning.
Experience operating basic laboratory equipment and preparing biological buffers, solutions and reagents following standard laboratory procedures.
Experience with liquid handling platforms.
